    We are a global team of digital storytellers, providing companies with strategic business advice. I analyse large datasets, drawing out actionable insights which answer our clients' questions.
    In my day-to-day, I liaise with clients to find out exactly what they need, use the Brandwatch platform to set up Boolean search strings and rules to answer clients' questions, analyse the data to find relevant business strategies, and then write up my findings and recommendations in very pretty reports.

    As a business development manager in a small start-up, I took on many roles: sales, marketing, support on both the customer and the supplier side and even the occasional interior design. My focus lay on establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, and evaluating data to answer questions the company faces – this was anything from simple financial analyses to more involved projections of future performance.

  • Founding Partner, Next Level Escape

    I co-founded an escape room in Sydney, Australia. Working on the business involved everything from finding premises, building and testing puzzles, creating marketing material and content for the website, to establishing and maintaining contact with clients and other escape room owners. The business is successful – it now employs 5 people and makes profit – and ranks in the top 10 on Sydney TripAdvisor.

    My key responsibilities were managing data, conducting research and presenting my findings, writing internal notes and contributing to the RBA's external publications. I was in the Economic Analysis department, which provides guidance on macroeconomic policy decisions. I contributed to discussions on the setting of the cash rate, researched questions regarding Australia's investment in housing, created forecasts and provided briefings.

    I taught multiple economics and statistics classes per week, demonstrating and explaining material and helping students to better engage with the course concepts. I also managed the online question forum. The classes I taught were Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Health and Labour Economics, and Agricultural Economics. I used Stata, eViews and MS Excel in my tutorials.

Volunteer Experience

  • Flüchtlingshilfe Oberursel – Homework assisant for refugee children


    Flüchtlingshilfe Oberursel is an organisation helping refugees settle in Germany. I was part of the bi-weekly program for children, mainly designed to help them with their homework. I worked with one child at a time, helping her with homework and other questions about school at large. We also sat together to sing songs, celebrate birthdays and generally introduce German customs to the children.

  • Greenpeace APAC - Writer


    My position at Greenpeace Australia Pacific was in the media and communications section. I researched reports (for example white papers and scientific reports), analysed their findings and wrote internal briefings to inform staff. I also wrote blog posts for Greenpeace Australia Pacific and Greenpeace UK.

  • 180 Degrees Consulting – Consultant


    I helped a local charity to improve their operations. This included analysing their business model and finances, and suggesting ways to reduce costs and become more efficient, while still being able to help people.

  • Mission Australia – English Tutor

    2012 - 2013

    Mission Australia's Home Tutor Scheme is designed to aid migrants with their transition into life in Australia. My role as a tutor was to meet with one of the participants at least once per week to teach her English and help her with everyday issue and questions. I designed one hour lessons according to her English proficiency, helped her pick books to read from the library, and answered her questions regarding life in Australia in general.
